1:1 laptop programs: Where are we now?

We are very blessed at Trinity to rely on a great company called ISM (Independent School Management) for guidance and information in all areas of school life. A recent article shared by ISM gave me a great deal of information on some of the very questions and concerns we have regarding our 1:1 laptop program. I wanted to share this valuable article with you. Please click here to read.

Some quick reminders:

*Please be sure you allow time for practice on the ITBS format this coming week as we near testing week: April 4-8.
*Thurs., March 31, 8 a.m. -12 noon, Group Pictures will be made in the US library.
*Notify parents through email/blog of early dismissal, Friday, April 8th 11:30!
*Monday, April 4, all school faculty meeting

Each Friday from now until school is out our US students are selling Chik Filet biscuits in WH 7:15 a.m.-7:50 a.m., for $2.50 to be donated to the March of Dimes. They will work hard to be sure those are on time and eaten prior to coming into the classroom at 8 a.m. so class disruption does not occur. Thank you for your support of this project.

Words of Encouragement

Two different people visited our campus recently. Both followed up their visit with a personal note mailed to me the old fashioned way! You don't get many of these anymore so they definitely got my attention. Inside each note the person shared about feelings they had while visiting our campus. Let me share a sentence or two from each one:

"It was wonderful to see so much technology, diversity, and growth. The simple love for learning demonstrated by your teachers and students was refreshing!"

"My visit to TPS was like a dream of what a school should be like!"

I share these words with you to encourage you as we return from our break. Thank you for always going the extra mile! Your heart for Christ shows in so many ways even for those simply visiting our campus for a few minutes. Thank you for allowing Him to use you at Trinity to touch lives.

24 Hours that Changed the World

If you have not read the book 24 Hours that Changed the World, I strongly encourage you to do so. This is the perfect time--Lent. This book clearly explains the events of Holy Week and the whole atmosphere at the time of the arrest and crucifixion of Christ. Hamilton uses all four gospels and clarifies the different accounts in each. There is an accompanying reflection book to go along with it as well. This book is perfect for personal or group Bible study. It is a short read so if you start now you can read a chapter or so a week and be done by Easter Sunday! Click here for more information on this powerful book by Adam Hamilton.

Please remember from time to time to check out my lower school parent blog. I reference the site Common Sense Media as a help site for the selection of movies, books, games, apps, etc. You may want to check that out and add it to your blog as well! It is a valuable tool.

I want to share with you some words of encouragement! I recently received two notes from recent visitors to our campus. They used the following words to describe our school:

*My visit to TPS was like a dream of what a school should be like!
*It was wonderful to see so much technology, diversity, and growth!
*The simple love for learning demonstrated by your teachers and students was refreshing.

Be encouraged and know that your efforts do not go unnoticed!
Have a blessed week!
