Important Last Weeks!
Please take time to enjoy these last weeks of school with your students. You have worked hard to establish these relationships with students and parents. Please get plenty of rest, continue to dedicate each day to the Lord, and make great memories with your precious students. The last weeks of school can be a blur due to the fact that we are all getting tired. Do whatever it takes to slow things down and reflect on the unique relationship that you have with each of your students. If I can help in any way, please let me know.

Does texting shorthand hurt reading skills?
There is a great deal of discussion today concerning the texting shorthand that is developing as more and more people rely on texting for communication. I wanted to share an article that I found that may help shed some light on this trend. Click here to read.

Thank you!
Thank you for the super support during the two days of kindergarten testing. Those two days are only possible if we all work together--it is truly a team effort! It is such an honor to speak about Trinity to incoming parents but it is even more of an honor to experience your classrooms on a daily basis. It is truly a blessing!
As I visit classrooms, I am continually overwhelmed with the amount of care and prayer that you put into your classrooms. I made a mental list last week as I was visiting. These are some of the things I am so thankful for as I visit:
*loving, warm, relaxed atmosphere
*intentional planning so curriculum flows and is integrated together whenever possible
*passion for teaching children and being at school
*patience in all things (and I do mean all things)
*understanding for unique circumstances
*asking questions that require students to think more deeply
*allowing children time to answer (and feel comfortable gathering their thoughts)
*the kind and positive way in which you answer and approach students
*intentionally using technology in the best way possible for a certain subject area
Bless you. I know these things don't just happen by accident. You are doing a great job!
Upcoming dates:
*Mon., 2/7 --Midterm Reports and All School Faculty Meeting 3:45 p.m. WH
*Mon., 2/14--Classroom Valentine Parties (approx. 1:45-2:45 p.m.) and Faculty Meeting 3:45 p.m.
